The Senate Judiciary Committee has formally scheduled an Oct. 22 vote to approve Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

The move comes after three days of hearings where Democrats sought to pin Barrett down on Obamacare, abortion rights and other issues — questions she largely declined to answer, citing precedent.

Republicans are aiming to confirm Barrett on the Senate floor before the Nov. 3 election.
